We’re excited to welcome volunteers to the National Leadership Conference (NLC), and we appreciate your interest in serving!
If a parent or additional adult is interested in volunteering as a judge and is not needed to meet your chapter’s required chaperone ratio, they may earn complimentary registration for NLC by meeting the following criteria:
Eligibility for Complimentary Registration
The individual must sign up to judge through our volunteer platform: FBLA Judging Portal.
To qualify for free registration (which includes access to the Opening Session, Awards of Excellence Program, and full conference access), the volunteer must sign up for at least two in-person judging shifts.
- Judges may not evaluate students from their own school or state to maintain impartiality.
Once registered, volunteers will pick up their name badges at the Judge Check-In Desk on June 29 (Day 1) between 11:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
Important Notes
- Required Chaperones Must Register via Blue Panda: If a parent or adult is attending to meet your chapter’s required chaperone ratio (15:1 for high school and middle school), they must be registered through Blue Panda and pay the standard registration fee. They are not eligible for complimentary registration as a judge.
- Only Extra Adults May Judge for Free: Complimentary registration through judging is available only for adults beyond your required chaperone count.
- Do Not Double Register: Do not register volunteer judges in Blue Panda unless they are also serving as a required chaperone. If someone has already been registered and paid through Blue Panda, we unfortunately cannot offer a refund or convert them to volunteer status.
Thank you for your commitment to supporting our students! If you have additional questions, please reach out to us anytime.
