Overview
FBLA communicates regularly with state leaders through email updates, announcements, reminders, and other important information. Distribution lists are generated directly from the titles assigned within CONNECT.
Individuals designated as a State Chair, State Adviser, or State Staff in CONNECT are included in state leader communications. These communications may include items such as State Leader Digests, program updates, conference information, deadlines, system updates, and other resources intended to support state leadership teams.
Who Receives State Leader Communications?
State leader communications are sent to individuals who have one of the following active titles in CONNECT:
- State Chair
- State Adviser
- State Staff
Email distribution is based on the title associated with your profile and organization in CONNECT.
Not Receiving Emails?
If you believe you should be receiving state leader communications but are not:
- Verify that your email address in CONNECT is accurate.
- Confirm that your title is listed as State Chair, State Adviser, or State Staff for your state.
- Check your spam or junk folder.
- Contact the FBLA Support Center if your information appears correct but you are still not receiving messages.
Receiving Emails You No Longer Need?
State leader communications are sent based on your CONNECT title. If your role has changed and you no longer wish to receive these communications, update your title in CONNECT or work with your state's CONNECT administrator to make the necessary changes.
Once your title is updated, future distributions will automatically reflect the change.
Keeping Your Information Current
To ensure you receive the appropriate communications:
- Review your profile and role assignments regularly.
- Update role changes as they occur.
- Remove outdated state leadership titles when responsibilities transition to another individual.
Maintaining accurate roles in CONNECT helps ensure communications reach the correct people and reduces unnecessary email traffic.
